Coordinated Entry Homeless Assistance

Families, single people, and youth can discuss options with a member of the shelter team.

Domestic violence

Day One is a central phone line that will connect you with all of the available domestic violence shelters in the state, starting with the one nearest to you.

The Bridge for Youth

Youths older than 18 and parenting teens can visit the human services center to get a referral.

  • Overnight stay only
  • For 10- to 17-year-olds who may be reunified with family
  • For 16- to 18-year-olds who are unable to be reunified with family

Avenues for Homeless Youth

Avenue programs not only provide safe shelter and housing options for those in need. Their program also supports youth in Minnesota who are 16-24 years old, and their children, who are experiencing homelessness.

Hope Street Shelter

Hope Street is a shelter for young people aged 18-24, offering supportive services including food, clothing, laundry, medical care, and case management services.

Simpson Shelter

Simpson Housing Services provides Emergency shelter, Adult shelter, Single adults shelter, Family & youth housing, and Children & youth services

  • Holds a combined weekly lottery every Monday night.
  • Arrive by 6:30 p.m. but not before 5:45 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m.
  • All lottery participants must be sober on the night of the lottery.
  • Locations include St. Stephen’s, Our Savior’s, and Simpson Shelters

Listening House

Drop-in centers provide a space for homeless individuals to spend time and connect with services. Spaces are typically open during the day or evening hours.

A day shelter and community center providing hospitality, practical assistance and guidance to men and women who are disadvantaged, homeless or lonely.

A basic safety net of services includes hygiene products, clothing, message delivery, telephones, haircuts, foot care (including socks/shoes/boots) and essential first aide.

Onsite partner professionals consist of mental and chemical health outreach teams, housing advocates and veteran’s assistance
